Updater instantly freezes pc

Hello, when i open asterios updater, it instantly crashes my pc, and i can't find a solution to this problem.

I recently installed new windows, 8.1 version. I've turned off antivirus. (Pentium dual core cpu e5300 @ 2.60ghz 2.60ghz, 4gb ram, 64bit os). Few years ago on the same computer everything with this server worked fine. And i've tryed different server updater, it worked well too now, but when i try to open asterios updater, it freezes just second later after i clicked on it

Is it a black screen or just freeze?

Have you changed Option.ini file ?

Your computer is very weak for the GOD client. Do you have an SSD? The E5300 was standing by me when Ruoff switched to GOD. It was torture. Lay out the parameters of your OS. What country do you play from?

I have not changed anything, by the way im going to play 7x h5 server. Just downloaded full client from asterios web, my pc is weak, but it was kind of enough for h5 whole time i played with it. No black screen, no nothing, when i double click the updater just whole pc freezes, even the buffer circle freezes, and i need to restart it afterwards, even if i move updater from whole l2 folder, put it anywhere and it still freezes my pc when i open it

In the main folder of the game, find the file Asterios.ini and set there UseOpenGl=0

It should help.

Nothing changed. I've tryed to download other server updater for a test if it works, and it worked well. But when i do click on asterios updater, no matter where i place it, or in l2 folder with whole files or in desktop or so on, whole desktop and everything just freezes instantly, when i open asterios from system folder it do same but only 1-2seconds later. Nothing opens and nothing happens, just freezes. I have no clue how to fix this :/

No blue screen, just everything stops, cant move mouse, nothing works,nothing moves, if music played in that moment, it just laggs and repeats the same part of sound constantly.

Change the drive from where you run the game

Noth, as i mentioned before, it doesn't matter where i put updater - asterios.exe, anywhere from l2 or in any fucking drive, it freezes as i try to open that file.. i dont think that whole l2 folder is involved in something, just that updater file, same with the exe file in asterios system folder.

Well there is a possibility that l2 defense is conflicting with other soft installed on your pc.

Try to uninstall anti virus in order to check. Also try to turn off all unnecessary programs.

And if u have no antivirus - install it and run full scanning

try to disable using OpenCL - set UseOpenCL=0 in Asterios.ini
