Hi! Is it possible to play in this server with latest windows update? Last post I`ve seen is from November/December last year, maybe there was some changes and possibilities to play without downgrading windows update? Thanks in advance for your replies.

Only one possible solution is to rollback into previous 23H2 version

How can you roll back to previous updates especially when you fresh installed Win11 with 24H2 integrated? 

 

In any case the Admins should provide a HotFix for this issue as it's not a Major one, to all other games and platforms (Steam-Purple-Epic-BattleNet) they already fixed it so i guess it's matter of not even 1 day for an experienced Debugger to fix that....

 

We just wasting time waiting and waiting just cause we should upgrade a machine or more.....

By the way...WHY Admins do not do anything for that issue? I would like to have an answer if possible and if there are any REAL Admins around watching the forums....

Probably not worth writing about why they’re not doing anything. But if you're wondering what to expect, just check out the forum and read through it.

You sound a bit Ironic mate..... I came here after I was the one started a thread 1 year ago about this matter! and guess what? No realistic answer and NOT from Admins. 

Since then i did more threads and participated to other users threads also (some of them already deleted can you imagine!) but still there is no Answer when other private servers (Russian and/or Not Russian) plus official North America one are still enjoying the game!

And to answer your ironic question why i dont go to play there, well, ive been barely to all servers around since 2005, but NONE is like Asterios so smooth hugely crowded and without DDOS attacks and so on! Also a good community but unfortunately not for NOT RUSSIANS (or Ex USSR Countries)!

So better find a solution to the problem if you please than telling me to check forums :) kkthxbye

This irony means that you are not alone, and if someone writes their thoughts on this matter, there is a chance of getting banned.

Only in RF noone allowed to write or express his/her opinion if i'm not wrong! Correct me if so. 

 

We are just writing here for a known problem that most of admins if not all know it. But seems they can't help making it out with it !

 

So that means that or you format your pc go back and play Asterios or upgrade like anyone in our modern world , and wait ages for the Tech Team to find a fix....that seems will never come! Correct?

 

Well....if i get banned i know there is a reason now LOL ! But you know what, is not me that created this thread , it's me that answering !

To not mention the lack of support to the payment system when someone is out of USSR !!! This is another part that feels lame in the modern world as well xD

If the Asterios client doesn’t launch on Windows 11 24H2, updating to Insider build 27788 (Canary channel) fixed it for me.

To do it:
Settings → Windows Update → Windows Insider Program
→ Join with a Microsoft account
→ Select Canary Channel
→ Let it update and reboot

 

After that, the game works.

Please explain what do you mean. I did this /set hypervisorlaunchtype off in cmd as admin and restarted my PC to take an effect as you explained, but it is still giving me the same error msg as I am trying to start the game.

 

And for what reason you are giving me a link to russian language forum, obviously I can not understand it, that`s why I am in an english language speaking people part of a forum.

That was a link to admin's answer for the same issue. I thought the same (error message is the same), but looks like not... Sorry.

Do you have any kind of virtual machines installed like VMWare, VirtualBox or Windows Hyperv? It can cause an issue, such apps should be removed and virtualization disabled in the Windows settings. The best solution - disable virtualization in BIOS settings of your motherboard.

VT-d is disabled in BIOS. I do not have any virtual machines installed at all. In Task Manager under CPU performance it still shows that Virtualization is ENABLED. Don`t fcking understand wtf is going on.

Why would I want to do that? Security is my #1 in priority as one Russian that lives in America youtuber used to say. I did enjoyed this L2 server for years, but looks like something dodgy is going on with it. I`ll leave it with a good memories. Thanks for that.

This isn’t only on this server, it works like that in many places. Core isolation is often recognized by protection as a virtual machine. There are two options here: either play or not — it’s up to you :)

Возможное решение для запуска клиента игры на Windows 11 24h2 и 25h2, у кого есть возможность проверить отпишитесь пожалуйста получилось или нет. Проблема запуска на этих версиях возможна из за отключения компонента системы WMIC который был в предыдущих версиях, теперь он по умолчанию отключен, попробуйте включить "Настройки-Система-Опциональные возможности" найдите в списке WMIC, установите перезагрузитесь и пробуйте запустить игру.
