At the moment of speaking, the main "nerf" about summoners is limitation with Wyvern transport and the missing low C dagger in the luxory.

 

In other words - you will have to play with dark screamer (81 crit, instead 90) , and pay about twice as much for it. 

(The alternative of crafting Dark Elven Dagger, or searching for Rare Greatsword is still an option)

And every time you use Wyverns, you will have to pay about 3.5k adena for resummoning.

 

This is neglectable nerf, compared to what other classes will have to deal with.

 

Boxer and Kat work like free Improved pets (even better, since the mana herbs give twice the amount) since 20, and after 40 (when you can resummon freely) they are techincally unlimited mana.

 

Shadow's vampirism combined with the buff he gets after 56 and the hex cubic, makes it the best solo-dps class of all.

 

You cannot make mistake by choosing any of them.

i was thiking to kick myself in the balls and play SB + buffer...but im not sure its worth the pain since it seems it requires alot of buffs to shine :)
