Picking up stuff warning!!!

I just want to point out something to my English speaking friends (and foes...) on Asterios.

 

If someone starts giving up stuff around. Throwing it on the ground, trading it to you, you should not pick it/accept it.

ESPECIALLY if its something valuable!!!

 

It is no brain, really. Absolutely common sense.

But judging for the amount of russian people who bought this, I decided to share it.

 

What is the deal with this and why not you ask?

Well basically this is what is happening. Person A gives money (real life money) to person B.

Person B logs into the game, and gives bunch of stuff to Person A.

And also at the same time gives bunch of stuff to people C, D, E, F, G... (To look like he got no money from person A, and is just doing it at random)

 

However, the server administration has not been born yesterday...

 

And right now they have to deal with one person who is guilty, and a bunch of people, who are stupid enough to assist this trade.

(That is C, D, E, F, G... and so on) And you cannot tell who's fault it is. If anything, it may turn out that few people bought stuff, not just one.

 

As I said, it is common sense not to touch valuable stuff. If someone gives you bag full of money in real life, I advise you to pass on it as well.

After all, when the cops come, and it turns out that this money is stolen, and the person who stole it just gave you part of it, to direct the attention to you, you will go to prison no matter what stupid excuse you try to give.

 

You will be as guilty as a little puppy sitting right next to the pile of shit in the living room.

I understand this and agree. What I find sad is if you consider that stupid people are more likely to get banned and not even know why,
because they are the ones that will not think twice to pick up anything, but gaming is for everyone, or at least should be, dumb or smart.
It's possible a stupid person to get banned here whilst a smart person with experience is safer.
Of course that's the fairest way to keep a so highly populated server in control. And I'm down with that, I absolutely enjoy the server !

Actually I always picked up anything I can get, went smooth all the time.

Not all such cases are RMT thou, sometimes people are just leaving game and dropping their stuff around.

Administration is capable to evaluate what you got and what the intended trade payload was I think. And only punish those who did RMT.
After all the point is to make sure that buying is not worth it and that no one is selling.

It was some Vorpal stuff, NM sets and crystals. If you picked up +16 weapon then you probably bought it yeah.
